A little about me

My name is Torrey Voigt, I live in beautiful Missoula, Montana.  I’m an aspiring photographer and outdoors enthusiast.  I’ve lived in Montana now steadily since 2004, however off and on since 1997.  I spend my days when I’m not in the office fly-fishing, camping, hiking, exploring, and of course doing photography.  I grew up between Oregon, New York, Wyoming, and finally settled in Montana.  I learned about the outdoors and nature quickly growing up fly-fishing and hiking the waters of Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.  My father had a fly rod in my hand from my earliest memories.  I grew up with two fathers, the second, my step-father who also taught me about the outdoors and fishing.  He and I spent years fishing the beautiful rivers and creeks of Wyoming.

I became interested in photography as a child, my father being a very skilled photographer with published covers in fly-fishing publications.  I recently got the “photo bug” about two years ago and really hit the ground running.  I spend a lot of time studying books, articles, blogs, and learning on my own the art of photography.  So far I mainly shoot nature, landscapes and wildlife, however I would like to become more skilled at portraits, urban, architecture and black and white photography.

Well, I’m going to keep this short.  Thank you for reading a little about me and please follow me on twitter @MT_Photographer and visit more of my photos at my flickr page here.  I will consistently be adding more content so please follow my blog.   If interested in purchasing prints of any photos you see here or on flickr please email me at tvoigtmt@gmail.com.  Thanks again for visiting.
